Alleviate Aches & Pain [Quarantine Day 15]

I’ve got Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue and so my muscles are always sore, which has led me to invest in numerous massage tools.

Taking soaking baths is another way I deal with sore joints and muscles. And that’s why I’m always making bath products that will not only soothe my aches and pains but also make my skin soft and healthy.

The base of this bath soak is simple: Magnesium Bath Flakes.

Magnesium is absorbed through the skin, so while you are relaxing in the bath, your skin will be soaking up the goodness – relaxing and rejuvenating tired limbs and leave you feeling refreshed and energized.

I add baking soda because it makes my feel silkier. [It’s also known to help neutralize toxins and harmful chemicals lurking inside the body – the after effects from the consumption of caffeine, alcohol, processed foods, and strong medicines.]

I love fragrances and so no bath soap, soak, gel, or lotion of mine is without scent. For bath salts, my most favorite essential oils are lavender oil and Eucalyptus oil. Both are cooling and calming oils which I need to relieve pain and inflammation.


¼ cup Magnesium Bath Flakes + 1/4 cup Baking soda


2 drops Lavender essential oil + 3 drops Eucalyptus essential oil

1 tablespoon unscented liquid Castile soap


  1. Mix the essential oils with the unscented Castile soap in a small bowl.
  2. Add the magnesium bath flakes and baking soda and mix well.
  3. Add the above mixture to a full bathtub of hot water.
  4. Soak for 30-45 minutes without distractions.

A glass of chilled Moscato, romantic Bollywood music, and a good spy thriller are a must during a long soak!
