I’m a sickeningly optimistic person and have a never-say-die positive attitude. I’ve also been enthusiastic all my life, even when things haven’t gone my way. And believe me when I say that a lot hasn’t gone my way in the past few years – projects that have failed, bets that haven’t panned out, opportunities that were thought to be a sure thing and that didn’t come knocking, and so on.
But how to maintain positivity and optimism even when everything seems to go wrong? How to not give up, even when it appears we’ve reached a dead-end and no reverse gear to get out of it?
- First of all, we have to stop lumping all our problems and failures in one “basket”.
- Then we have to believe that we have it in us to try one more time….[even if I’ve failed 10000 times, I believe I have it within me to try for the 100001th time.]
Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.
It’s really that simple!
And so I start 2019 with that same belief that I have it in me to try once more.
Cause my failures don’t define me. Yours don’t either!
Happy New Year. Happy 2019 to all.
